The John Seda Signature Series Guitar, known as the Rising Sun USA Telecaster, is far more than just an instrument — it represents a dream realized, decades of musical dedication, and a powerful collaboration between craftsmanship and creativity.

As someone who records guitar every day for a living, I’ve had the privilege of working with countless instruments. But everything changed when I was approached by Mark Stadnyk, founder and master builder of Somnium Guitars, to demo his groundbreaking creation: a guitar designed with fully removable and interchangeable pickups. The moment I held it, I knew this was something special. The versatility, tone options, and engineering excellence were unlike anything I had ever played.

After spending a month testing it in real studio sessions, I knew I needed one of these guitars in my professional arsenal. That experience eventually led to a full endorsement from Somnium Guitars, and from there, the real journey began. Mark and I spent months brainstorming, sketching, refining, and obsessing over every detail to create a guitar that represented my personal style, my studio, and my musical identity.

The custom paint job — a stunning piece of art in itself — was created by my longtime friend, Hip Hop artist and visual creator Hot Man (Robert Brown). His work brought the guitar to life, turning it into something truly unique and meaningful.

After months of revision and collaboration, I finally received the finished instrument: a custom Signature Series Telecaster with removable pickups, handcrafted with care and named The Rising Sun USA Tele, inspired by my recording studio, Rising Sun Music in Tampa, Florida.

Receiving this Signature Series guitar at age 61 was more than an honor — it inspired me to write a tribute song to Mark’s company, titled “Somnium Dreams.” The track features the legendary Luis Alicea on drums and percussion. The word Somnium means dream in Latin, and this project reminded me that dreams don’t have an expiration date.

This guitar, this collaboration, and this music truly represent one thing:
